Atrium – Woodland Hills, CA

Gone are the days of the elusive, hole-in-the-wall dispensary tucked into a nondescript medical office building. Atrium is far and away the most opulent cannabis shop I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. Near the busy thoroughfare of Topanga Canyon and Ventura Boulevards — and conveniently located a stone’s throw from the 101 — Atrium is poised to become the West Valley’s premier cannabis retailer. After being greeted by the staff, I was led into Atrium’s palatial main room; large and high-ceilinged with no shortage of natural light. Atrium’s aesthetic combines the soft, wood-grain surfaces of a hip juice bar or health-food store with the elegant floor plan of a chic boutique.

The Product

Atrium provides suitable, quality products for seasoned cannabis consumers, uninitiated novices, medical patients, recreational users and everyone in between. With over a thousand products from more than a hundred brands, customers are guaranteed to find what they’re looking for. Atrium is also pleased to be the exclusive purveyor of Hidden Hills vaporizer pens and cartridges, named for the nearby, posh gated community home to many of Los Angeles’s most mega-wealthy industry titans and illustrious socialites.

The Culture

Atrium’s location allows it to tap into the rich history of cannabis in the San Fernando Valley. Captain Ed’s in Reseda is the longest-running smoke shop in the country. In its heyday, customers might run into legendary advocate and cultivator Jack Herrer holding court. Atrium takes great pride in working directly with Josh D Farms, founded and managed by Josh Del Rosso, the grower who, according to legend, is responsible for the proliferation of OG strains on the West Coast.
