DOPE Life | Corevette Dance Crew

When people hear about Idaho (if it’s not confused with Iowa) it is often associated with farmland and a conservative rural culture. For our Art Issue, we decided to take a look at the Art scene in Idaho — now an island to states that have legalized cannabis — to get some perspective from a dance group making waves along the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Corevette Dance is all about “being yourself, freeing yourself, and expressing what makes you YOU!” and “reviving the human spirit through performance art and workshops.” Miranda Palacio, Alex McLaughlin, Marissa Grund and Emily Long are collectively trained dancers in jazz, improv, hip hop, jazz funk, animation, ballet, contemporary, aerobics and gymnastics, which has given them a unique flavor all their own.

Their experience ranges from choreography for various musicians, performances with the likes of artists like Soohan and Troyboi, workshops at festivals like Treefort Music Fest, What The Festival, Pirate Party, Electric Love Music Festival, Lightning In A Bottle and more.
